Psychology KS5

Psychology is about understanding how and why people and animals behave and think the way they do. Psychology looks at issues such as why people have gambling problems, how people can kill others at war, how to treat people with depression and schizophrenia and how to prevent criminals committing crimes again.

Topics covered on the OCR course are forensic, clinical and health psychology, child development, language in animals and many more. Entry requirements are at least a C grade at GCSE in English, Maths and Science. Any career involving people relates to Psychology so it will be useful for careers in forensics, teaching, child care and counselling.
