Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Students with Special Educational Needs will normally be placed in smaller classes across all subject areas where a teaching assistant will be present along with the teacher to help with learning.
Some students receive withdrawal lessons, where they do extra literacy work in a group of between three and five so that they can better access the curriculum.
Students will receive an Individual Education Plan (IEP) detailing their needs so that all teachers are aware of how best to support them.
Arrangements will be made so that SEN students have more time in exams.
SEN students are invited to come to after-school club in T1 from 3.05 until 4.00 every day to get help with homework.
